Hon Casey Costello: I have received two briefings from the New Zealand Customs Service (Customs) regarding strengthening vetting and counter-corruption protections at border points since January 2024. These were: “Agreement to the scope of the Border Security Bill” (received 16 July 2024), and “Initial Proposals for Targeted Engagement on the Border Security Bill” (received 6 March 2025).
