30775 (2025). Shanan Halbert to the Minister for Vocational Education: What evidence, if any, suggests that the new vocational education and training model will be more financially viable long-term compared to Te Pūkenga’s model?

Hon Penny Simmonds: Cabinet has not yet taken decisions on implementing the new vocational education and training model. However, this Government is focused on restoring regional decision-making and increasing industry leadership which I consider will lead to a more effective, responsive, and financially sustainable vocational education and training system. This is also my response to written parliamentary question 30776 (2025).
