30744 (2025). Shanan Halbert to the Minister for Vocational Education: Further to the Minister’s response to Written Parliamentary Question 22698, what are the specific funds that the TEC has prepared forecasts for in 2025?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I am advised the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) prepares forecasts that estimate the total Equivalent Full Time Students (EFTS) and value of delivery for a calendar year, after each Single Data Return (SDR) submission. Forecasts are generated using historical reporting trends and extrapolated across reported year-to-date delivery. TEC prepare forecasts for the following funds: - Delivery at Levels 1 and 2 on the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (DQ1-2) - Delivery at Levels 3 to 7 (non-degree) on the NZQCF (DQ3-7) - Delivery at Levels 7 (degree) to 10 on the NZQCF (DQ7-10) - Youth Guarantee (YG) - Adult and Community Education in Tertiary Education Institutes (ACE in TEIs)
