Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Police: Further to Written Parliamentary Question 29458 (2026); What criteria, if any, is being used to evaluate the six-month trial, and what, if any, measures will determine whether it has been successful, and when will the evaluation, if any, be completed?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that the six-month trial was evaluated against predetermined criteria established through the consultation process. These criteria were: operational demand alignment, crew readiness and availability, fiscal efficiency, service delivery and partner integration, and staff experience and sustainability. The measures considered within these criteria included: incident demand during staffed and unstaffed hours, management of overnight incidents, maritime response coordination, crew availability, training completion, on-call and response costs, partner agency feedback, staff feedback, sick leave trends, and roster compliance.
