30705 (2025). Shanan Halbert to the Minister for Vocational Education: Further to the Minister’s answer to Oral Question Number 11 on the 5th June 2025, what are the areas of expenditure Te Pūkenga has pulled back on that “should not have been happening”, listed by area of expenditure and amount saved or reduced?

Hon Penny Simmonds: There are a range of areas where expenditure needed to be reduced. This included wasteful spending and centralisation activity in the head office, as well reducing staffing levels within its ITP business divisions to align with lower student numbers. The expenditure changes can be seen in Te Pūkenga’s soon to be publicly available 2024 annual report.
