30697 (2025). Shanan Halbert to the Minister for Vocational Education: Further to the Minister’s answer to Oral Question Number 12 on the 5th June 2025, on what occasions has the Minister met with the Mātauranga Iwi Leaders Group and what advice did the Minister receive?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I have met with the Mātauranga Iwi Leaders Group on these occasions: 3 May 2024: Rahui Papa - Chair, Mātauranga Iwi Leaders Group, Trinity Wharf Hotel, 51 Dive Street, Tauranga. 15 July 2024: Meeting with Mātauranga Iwi Leaders Group via Teams. 17 October 2024: Quarterly Meeting with Mātauranga Iwi Leaders Group via Teams. 20 December 2024: Meeting with Mātauranga Iwi Leaders Group via Teams. 29 January 2025: Meeting with Mātauranga Iwi Leaders Group via Teams. I have received a range of advice from the Mātauranga Iwi Leaders Group that I will not specifically disclose to respect the free and frank nature of those discussions.
