Lemauga Lydia Sosene to the Minister responsible for Ministerial Services: Is it a requirement for staff employed by Ministerial Services to undergo a New Zealand Police Vetting Service check prior to appointment in a role, if so, did Michael Forbes undergo this ahead of his appointment as Deputy Chief Press Secretary in the Prime Minister’s office?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: No. All staff employed by Ministerial Services are required to undergo Ministry of Justice checks.
