30648 (2025). Lemauga Lydia Sosene to the Minister responsible for Ministerial Services: Will the Department of Internal Affairs' inquiry into Michael Forbes look at all of his Ministerial Services issued devices or only his Ministerial Services issued phone?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: I can confirm that the Department of Internal Affairs will be conducting a deep dive into employment and device policies, procedures, and information sharing practices. The Department is looking separately into employment matters, including forensic analysis of electronic devices issued to the former staff member. The Deep dive is expected to conclude in August 2025, at which point the Department will determine what information can be released and when.
