30647 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: How many, if any, state homes were categorised as “removed from service” as at 31 October 2025 and how does that figure breakdown by homes in construction, sales, demolition process, redevelopment process, and lease expiry?

Hon Chris Bishop: I refer the Member to the attached table provided by Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities of social homes removed from service. Homes removed from service do not include new homes under construction. It includes existing homes not available to let because they are undergoing major repairs and retrofitting, or are being redeveloped. This is also my reply to WPQs 30648, 30649, 30697, 30698, 30699, 30700, 30701, 30702 (2026).
