30640 (2025). Takutai Tarsh Kemp to the Associate Minister of Housing: What proportion of transitional housing stock is allocated to rangatahi aged 16–24, and how many, if any, new youth-dedicated places have been created since 2020?

Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised that as at the end of April 2025, there were 279 transitional housing places contracted specifically for young people aged 16-24, which comprises approximately 4% of the total contracted transitional housing places. Over the period 1 January 2020 to 30 April 2025, there have been 300 different transitional places contracted specifically for young people aged 16-24, the peak number at any one time was 285, in February 2025.
