30637 (2025). Takutai Tarsh Kemp to the Associate Minister of Housing: What actions, if any, has the Government taken since January 2024 to assess the feasibility of introducing a ‘duty to assist’ model similar to in the Housing (Wales) Act 2014?

Hon Tama Potaka: The Government has not assessed the feasibility of introducing a ‘duty to assist’ model. We have focused on our target to end long-term, large-scale use of Emergency Housing and on ensuring families with children who have been in emergency housing for longer than 12 weeks are prioritised for social housing.
