30609 (2023). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Justice: On what dates will the New Zealand Crime & Victims Survey take place in 2024?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised that the data for the New Zealand Crime and Victim Survey (NZCVS) is collected on a near-continuous basis. Data collection for the 2024 release (Cycle 6) of the NZCVS has already finished. The survey period was between 10 November 2022 and 15 October 2023. Data collection for Cycle 7, which will be released in 2025, is currently ongoing. The survey period for Cycle 7 is 10 October 2023 – 06 October 2024.
