30607 (2023). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Justice: Does the Ministry of Justice intend to make any changes to the New Zealand Crime & Victims Survey in 2024, if so what are these changes?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised that an independent evaluation of the New Zealand Crime and Victim Survey (NZCVS) is currently in the draft phase and is scheduled to be completed by early 2024. The aim of this evaluation is to identify what the NZCVS is doing well and areas where it could be improved to better meet strategic objectives. Recommendations from this evaluation may lead to changes to the NZCVS.
