30583 (2023). Steve Abel to the Associate Minister of Agriculture: What advice has he received, if any, since 27 November on any specific methods of killing cows which are not approved in regulation or which the dairy industry does not support?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: I have not received advice about this specific matter since being sworn in as Minister on 27 November 2023, but my work programme and priorities for the Animal Welfare portfolio will align with the overarching objectives of the Government, and it is my expectation that I will be briefed on all significant matters within my portfolio.
