Hon Dr Megan Woods to the Minister for Resources: Does the Minister think local communities should be involved in the consenting process for energy and resources developments, if so, does he consider that a one-year mandatary resource consenting, as suggested by the Prime Minister, provides sufficient involvement?

Hon Shane Jones: We will consider appropriate rules and timeframes for consenting processes as part of our work on resource management reform and national direction.
