Lan Pham to the Minister for the Environment: What advice, if any, has been produced by the Ministry for the Environment on the impact on freshwater outcomes of replacing the National Policy Statement for Freshwater 2020 to rebalance Te Mana o te Wai to better reflect the interests of all water users as laid out in the coalition agreement between ACT and National?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I have not yet requested or received any advice on the impact on freshwater outcomes of replacing the National Policy Statement for Freshwater 2020 to rebalance Te Mana o te Wai to better reflect the interests of all water users. The Government’s policy programme is as set out in the 100 day plan, 8 point plan and coalition documents. I will be receiving advice from officials in due course.
