Hon Dr Megan Woods to the Minister for Energy: Does he agree with Dr Rod Carr who said responding to climate change is an opportunity "to strengthen the resilience of electricity," if so, what action, if any, is the Government taking to strengthen the resilience of electricity in New Zealand?

Hon Simeon Brown: As part of the Coalition Government's 100-day plan we are committed to changing policy settings to reduce the regulatory planning barriers that have created uncertainty and delayed required investment in electricity infrastructure.
