Hon Dr Megan Woods to the Minister of Climate Change: Does he agree with Dr Rod Carr who said: "Driving gross emissions reductions is essential for transforming our economy and lessening the risk posed by the impacts of climate change, as forests are becoming more vulnerable to storms and fires as the world warms," if so, how, if at all, does his government's actions on climate change reflect this view?

Hon Simon Watts: The government recognises the role of gross emissions reduction in Climate Change Policy, this is why the government has announced policy on gross emissions reduction in addition to net reductions in emissions.
