30410 (2023). Hon Dr Megan Woods to the Minister of Climate Change: Does he agree with Dr Rod Carr who said: "planting forests is not a substitute for reducing emissions at source," if so, how, if at all, does the Government's action on climate change reflect this, and if not, why not?

Hon Simon Watts: Yes. This is why the Government has also announced policy on gross emissions reduction in addition to the net reductions in emissions provided by forestry.
