Hon Simon Watts: The Government is committed to reducing emissions across the economy to achieve New Zealand’s domestic and international climate targets. The Government will consider advice from the Climate Change Commission on the levels of gross emissions reductions needed to meet New Zealand’s emissions budgets and targets. New Zealand’s second emissions reduction plan will outline the actions required to put us on track to our 2050 climate change targets.
