Hon Nicola Willis: The Treasury did not produce separate final estimates of the child poverty impacts for initiatives including Temporary Additional Support, Accommodation Supplement and Income-related Rent. These policies were assessed as a package because they interact with one another and do not operate independently. As a result, their individual effects cannot be isolated and simply added together as the overall effect of the package may differ from the sum of its individual components. Modelling undertaken for the Child Poverty Report 2026 indicates that the combined package of policies is not expected to have a statistically significant impact on child poverty between 2028 and 2030.
