30372 (2023). Hon Dr Megan Woods to the Minister of Climate Change: Does the Minister agree with Resources Minister Shane Jones who said New Zealand shouldn't necessarily abandon coal in energy production, if so, why?

Hon Simon Watts: I stand by the governments position maintaining transition fuels for maintaining New Zealand’s energy security while we electrify our economy and that dependence on imports erodes our security and increases our emissions.
