30336 (2026). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Associate Minister of Education: What up to date figures, if any, does the Associate Minister have on the percentage of School Lunch Collective meals meeting waste/surplus standards?

Hon David Seymour: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that as at the end of Term 2, 2026, surplus across external meal suppliers is 15 percent, which is above the agreement service level. The 2025 end-of-lunch waste (kg) across the programme is 1.85kg per 100 meals.
