Hon Simeon Brown: Emissions reductions will be delivered by electrification. The required investment in renewable generation will be unleashed by reducing red tape and policy uncertainty, which is why I have axed the Lake Onslow pumped hydro scheme. I have received some initial advice on the dry year risk to New Zealand’s electricity system and I intend to progress work on this matter.
