30319 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Associate Minister of Housing: For how long, if at all, does the Ministry track whether a child placed into social housing through Priority One remains housed?

Hon Tama Potaka: The Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) is responsible for assessing eligibility for social housing, managing the social housing register and calculating the rent payable by social housing tenants. The Ministry does not 'track' social housing tenants.
