30229 (2023). Hon Dr Megan Woods to the Minister of Climate Change: What is the volume of gas required as part of New Zealand's energy transition as referred to by the Prime Minister on Monday 4 December?

Hon Simon Watts: I stand by the governments position that gas is an important transition fuel for maintaining New Zealand’s energy security while we electrify our economy and that dependence on imports erodes our security and increases our emissions. I have not received advice on the volume of gas required as part of New Zealand's energy transition.
