30211 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Internal Affairs: How, if at all, has the number of staff assigned to work out of the Head Office changed over the past 12 months for each of the Minister’s responsible agencies, if any?
Hon Brooke van Velden: Corrected reply: The Department of Internal Affairs (the Department)
I am advised by the Department that the number of staff assigned to work in the Head Office has decreased from 1,265 to 1,206 between June 2024 and June 2025.
The Lotteries Commission (Lotto NZ)
I am advised by Lotto NZ that there has been no change in the number of staff assigned to work out of the Head Office over the past 12 months.
Additional information for the office:
The number of staff working out of the Head Office has varied between 212 and 231 in the past 12 months depending on organisational headcount.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand (Fire and Emergency)
I am advised by Fire and Emergency that between 31 May 2024 and 31 May 2025 the number of staff assigned to work out of the National Headquarters increased by 14, from 451 to 465.
Office of Film and Literature Classification (the Classification Office)
I am advised by the Classification Office that there has been an increase of two staff working in the head office over the past twelve months.
