30199 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Housing: How, if at all, has the number of staff assigned to work out of the Head Office changed over the past 12 months for each of the Minister’s responsible agencies, if any?

Hon Chris Bishop: The number of staff working out of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development’s Head Office has decreased over the past 12 months. Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities has head offices located in Wellington and Auckland. Over the past 12 months at 31 May 2025, staff assigned to work at the Wellington head office reduced by 202, and the number of staff assigned to work in Auckland across two locations on Carlton Gore Road, Newmarket reduced by 278.
