30198 (2026). Hon Marama Davidson to the Minister of Conservation: What correspondence, if any, has he or his office had with the Minister for Resources regarding the Conservation Amendment Bill?

Hon Tama Potaka: Over the course of the policy development for the Conservation Amendment Bill my office and I engaged with the Minister for Resources as well as many other Ministers. As my office engages in correspondence with my Ministerial colleagues and their offices about a wide variety of matters, and this is not categorized in the way the Member has asked, collating this would require substantial staff resources and thus cost to the taxpayer. I do not believe that this would be in the public interest.
