30193 (2023). Hon Dr Megan Woods to the Minister for Energy: Has the Minister seen comments from National Party Leader Christopher Luxon that it took "eight years to obtain resource consent, and two years to build" a wind farm, if so, is he aware which wind farm Mr Luxon was referring to in his statement?

Hon Simeon Brown: Resource consent timeframes under the RMA can vary widely. In most cases it takes longer to consent a wind farm than to build it. I am currently focused on delivering key priorities in the Government’s 100 Day Plan, which includes progress on reforms to the RMA.
