30171 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Local Government: What estimate, if any, has the Minister received of the additional consenting costs to councils and ratepayers attributable to the drafting errors in the wastewater standards, and the delay in correcting them?

Hon Simon Watts: I have not received an estimate. The Water Services Authority – Taumata Arowai has actively engaged with impacted parties (councils and consent authorities) since errors were identified in the wastewater standards to mitigate adverse impacts.
