30171 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Education: How, if at all, has the number of staff assigned to work out of the Head Office changed over the past 12 months for each of the Minister’s responsible agencies, if any?

Hon Erica Stanford: As at 31 May 2025: • the Ministry of Education had 1,387 staff based at its National Office, a decrease of 433 from 1,820 in May 2024 • Education New Zealand’s Head Office workforce reduced by 21 over the past 12 months • the New Zealand Qualifications Authority increased its Head Office staffing by one, from 58 to 59 • the Education Review Office increased its National Office staffing by six over the same period. All Head Offices are located in Wellington.
