30146 (2023). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Police: Will the number of constabulary fulltime-equivalents be 500 higher on 27 November 2025 than it was on 27 November 2023, if not, why not?

Hon Mark Mitchell: Our intention as per the coalition agreement with NZ First is to train 500 more officers, net, over two years. We are currently waiting on advice from Police on ways to best deliver that, given that since we came into Government, it has become clear that Police has been facing serious recruitment challenges.
