30134 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Associate Minister of Housing: Further to reply 28875 (2026), as 5% of the 1,421 outreach support activities resulted in a household being housed, what total funding was provided to outreach services over that period, and what is the resulting cost per household housed?
Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised that Outreach spend to date is commercially sensitive as the Ministry for Cities, Environment, Regions and Transport is currently negotiating with providers to extend the service into other regions. It would also not be appropriate to divide the spend to date by the number of households placed in long term housing to create a nominal cost per household housed. Outreach services work by engaging with and connecting households with a range of support services (including housing providers), often over extended periods of time, before successful long-term housing placements can be made.
