30076 (2023). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Does the Minister agree with Christopher Luxon’s statement that smoking has decreased “...  over the last 30 years under successive governments, and we'll continue to do that,” and what actions is his Government taking to ensure the number of people smoking continues to decrease?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: Yes. This Government continues to undertake actions to ensure that the number of people smoking continues to decrease. These actions include stop smoking services, health promotion campaigns and community action along with continued tobacco excise. I look forward to working with relevant Ministers on this issue.
