Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Does the Minister stand by his comments on adding security to protect Emergency Department staff, that “we'll look to deploy that before the Christmas, New Year period,” and if so, which Emergency Departments will this security be deployed at?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I do, and details regarding additional security in emergency departments over the Christmas period will be announced in the near future.
