Nicola Willis’ statement on pseudoephedrine that “...ACT campaigned on, and they think it's a medicine that's of therapeutic benefit to New Zealanders, and they wanted to see it brought back.” and if so, does he agree there is a therapeutic benefit to New Zealanders, if not, why not?

I am advised that while all medicines have risks as well as benefits, pseudoephedrine is known to reduce swelling and secretions in the nose, allowing the patient to breathe more easily and relieves the pressure behind the nose and eyes, which can be a cause of sinus pain and headache. Products containing Pseudoephedrine are also available in many countries throughout the world.
