30052 (2023). Hon Dr Megan Woods to the Minister for Resources: Does the Government intend to make any changes to the Crown Minerals Act, if so, what are the changes and when will they be implemented?

Hon Shane Jones: The Government intends to deliver all commitments in the coalition agreements, including repealing the ban on offshore oil and gas exploration and updating the Crown Minerals Act 1991 to clarify its role as promoting the use of Crown minerals. I intend to progress work on these matters in 2024.
