30050 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister for ACC: What information, if any, has the Minister or their office received regarding the timeline for a planned review or evaluation process to determine the future of the Hikitia! programme?

Hon Scott Simpson: As a Crown entity, ACC has independent decision-making authority from Ministers with respect to operational matters. ACC informed my office in May 2025 of the decision not to procure further partners for Hikitia! to allow time to review the initiative to ensure it will have an impact before further investment is made. I am advised that ACC’s review of Hikitia!, which commenced in 2024, includes working closely with the five existing providers and the sector to ensure the programme aligns with both local and international best practices, remains fit for purpose, and delivers measurable social and financial returns on investment. Relevant analyses will be conducted as part of this review. ACC will keep me updated as the review progresses.
