29998 (2023). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Justice: Does the Minister stand by both of his statements (made prior to becoming a minister) that "Hate speech legislation by contrast is not needed, and it will unnecessarily narrow free speech and expression in our country" and "Proceeding with new hate speech legislation is a distraction from the more pressing issues that Ministry of Justice officials should be focused on".
