29981 (2023). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Is the Minister aware of any other jurisdictions that use an occupations tribunal as described in the National Party and the ACT Party coalition agreement, if so, what are those jurisdictions?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: The Coalition Agreement between the New Zealand National Party and ACT New Zealand commits to improving the recognition of overseas medical qualifications and experience, including the “consideration of an occupations tribunal.” The experience of other jurisdictions will likely be considered as part of a review of New Zealand's regulatory settings.
