29901 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Transport: How many graduate positions, if any, were there in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, as of 1 June 2024?

Hon Chris Bishop: The Ministry of Transport did not allocate specific graduate positions during November 2023 and August 2024. During this period, Advisers appointed on band 14 of the Ministry’s remuneration structure were commonly new graduates from university with limited working experience in relevant fields. In September 2024, following a vacancy review, the Ministry established 5 graduate positions to enable a graduate programme in 2025. NZTA had the following graduate positions as at 1 June 2024: Emerging Professionals Programme - 30
