Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Local Government: When, if at all, did the Minister discuss the future viability of postal voting for local elections with the Minister of Transport or officials responsible for New Zealand Post's deed of service, and what was the outcome of those discussions?

Hon Simon Watts: As Minister of Local Government, I have not been involved in any discussion on the future viability of postal voting for local elections with the Minister of Transport or officials responsible for New Zealand Post’s deed of service. My officials have been in contact with NZ Post and MBIE officials who administer NZ Post’s deed of service.
