29837 (2026). Hon Willie Jackson to the Minister for Regional Development: How much of the Regional Infrastructure Fund, if any, was allocated to marae in Budget 2026?

Hon Shane Jones: There was no commitment through the Regional Infrastructure Fund (RIF) to marae as part of Budget 2026. The RIF is a multi-year appropriation established through Budget 2024. In the financial year 2025/26, $24,485,000 of funding was approved for projects involving marae.
