29821 (2026). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister responsible for the GCSB and NZSIS: As a part of the National Risk Assessment for payload permit application BlackSky Global Gen-3 (A260482-PPT) is the Minister aware of any potential risks to people living in Gaza or the West Bank and if so what and if not why not?
Hon Chris Penk: I receive national security risk advice for each payload application from the GCSB and NZSIS. Any national security considerations in relation to any payload are assessed for the risk they may pose to New Zealand's national security.
National interest considerations are assessed by the NZ Space Agency. I refer the Member to my answer to WPQ 29814 (2026) under my Space portfolio.
