29816 (2026). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister for Space: As a part of the National Risk Assessment for payload permit application BlackSky Global Gen-3 (A260482-PPT) is the Minister aware of what constitutes an indirect national security risk to New Zealand and if so what and if not why not?

Hon Chris Penk: A national interest risk review is performed on all payload permit applications. The GCSB and NZSIS advise me separately on national security in relation to each payload permit application in my capacity as the Minister Responsible for the GCSB and NZSIS – I refer the member to my answer to 29820 (2026) under this portfolio.
