29805 (2026). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: Is the Minister or any member of their office aware, if at all, of how much humanitarian aid sponsored by New Zealand has actually made it into Gaza and how much is still at the border by amount, date and location?
Rt Hon Winston Peters: New Zealand's humanitarian contributions in response to the Israel-Hamas conflict have supporte humanitarian response efforts in Gaza and the West Bank.
New Zealand's contributions are pooled with those of other donors to support international humanitarian organisations to respond flexibly to a range off urgent needs. Organisations provide consolidated reather than specific reporting on the use of funds.
New Zealand's humanitarian partners have faced well-documented operational restrictions, including constraints on the amount of aid being allowed into Gaza. Despite the constraints present, our partners have been able to utilise donor funding, including from New Zealand, to deliver a range of humanitarian assistance and protection in Gaza.
