29684 (2026). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister of Defence: What tools, steps or processes, if any, does MoD have in place to ensure suppliers are not in violation of UN human rights conventions? 

Hon Chris Penk: The Ministry of Defence follows the Government Procurement Rules. As part of the process of acquiring new weapons, Defence Legal Services conducts a review to ensure compliance with International Humanitarian Law and other applicable legal obligations.
