29650 (2026). Dan Rosewarne to the Minister of Police: How many manually operated centrefire "push-button", "lever-release", or similar manually actuated repeating rifles have been imported into New Zealand between 1 January 2023 and 14 July 2026, if any, broken down by calendar year?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that between 1 January 2023 and 14 June 2026, a total of 535 firearms have been imported, in which the firearm model matched criteria of Push Button, PB, lever release or straight pull. I refer the Member to the attached table, which shows the breakdown of the number of these types of firearms imported by calendar year.
