29614 (2024). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: What, if anything, will be done to get "our young people back on track" alongside putting "in place tougher consequences for young offenders", excluding the Military Style Academies and Young Serious Offender Category, listed by programme or policy and agency implementing it?

Hon Karen Chhour: The delivery plan for Government Target 3: Reduced Child and Youth Offending is still under development. The delivery plan will outline how a 15 per cent reduction in the total number of children and young people with serious and persistent offending behaviour by June 2029 will be achieved by holding young people who offend to account, while also supporting them to address the issues contributing to their offending.
